SUPPORT PLANNER

A support planner is certified to write care plans for services budgeted for people with disabilities who use CDCS (Consumer Directed Community Supports).

The support planner assists the individual in what services their budget can pay for and writes that plan for approval from the county.  Support planners can assist in any changes needed during the year.

Contact your county social worker to learn if CDCS is right for you and if you need a support planner.

If you know you need a support planner, contact me to set an appointment to see if I am the right fit for you.

CONSULTANT

I am available for various consulting needs.  I have been an advocate to support families with the school IEP system.  I have been a speaker at support groups, seminars, and conferences.  I have helped families navigate the school system, medical assessments, diagnoses information, etc. to better handle their loved one's situation so they can make a plan to move forward and to better advocate for their loved one.  I have also done various work helping families with assistive technology needs and understanding various treatment programs or strategies.

If you need an advocate, advice, help with understanding something, guidance on making a plan, a speaker, etc., contact me to see if I can meet your needs.

Rep Payee

A Rep Payee (Representative Payee) is appointed by the Social Security office when a disabled person is found to be incapable (or unwilling) of managing disability payments on his/her own behalf.

A Rep Payee is expected to keep an accurate accounting of what disability funds are used for and is required to provide an annual report to Social Security each year.

The Rep Payee is responsible for the Social Security benefits only.

If you are in need of a Rep Payee, contact me to make an appointment to see if I am the right fit for you.  As of 2023, my caseload is full so I will not be taking new clients for Rep Payee Services.

TRUSTEE

A trustee is court-appointed to manage a trust.

A trustee is responsible for following the directive specified in the trust, but it typically involves making decisions involving the finances of the trust in benefitting the benefactor of the trust.

A trustee is expected to keep an accuracy accounting and required to provide an annual accounting to the court.  A trustee may or may not be required to be bonded depending on the trust documents.  A bond protects the benefactor and trust funds from unscrupulous trustees or misuse.

If you are in need of a trustee, contact me to set up an appointment and see if I am the right fit for you.  As of 2023, my caseload is full so I will not be taking new clients for Trustee Services.

GUARDIANSHIP

Guardianship is court-appointed when a protected person is found to be incapable of making decisions on his/her own behalf.

A guardian is court-ordered to make decisions involving the protected person's well-being.

The court decides if a protected person's rights are removed or limited and then appoints a guardian to be responsible for decisions involving those rights.

A guardian is required to submit an annual report to the court and interested parties.

Examples of what a guardian may do are: decide on where a person lives, what a person participates in, medical decisions, and what services a person needs.

If you are in need of a guardian, contact me to make an appointment to see if I am the right fit for you.  As of 2023, my caseload is full so I will not be taking new clients for Guardianship Services.

CONSERVATORSHIP

Conservatorship is court-appointed when a protected person is found to be incapable of making financial decisions on his/her own behalf.

A conservator is court-ordered to make decisions involving the protected person's finances.

The court decides if a protected person's rights are removed or limited and then appoints a conservator to be responsible for decisions involving those rights.

A conservator is expected to keep an accurate accounting and required to provide an annual accounting to the court.

A conservator may or may not be required to be bonded -- the court decides if a bond is necessary.

Examples of what a conservator may do are: decide on how funds are spent, makes sure bills are paid, financial decisions, and selling of property.

If you are in need of a conservator, contact me to make an appointment to see if I am the right fit for you.  As of 2023, my caseload is full so I will not be taking new clients for Conservatorship Services.
